Word for the day “Get up”

Proverbs 20:24a (NIV) A person’s steps are directed by the Lord.

What do you do when you lose a job? A dream? Hope? Do you freeze? Are you unable to move, think, or function? Maybe you spiral downward into destructive self-pity. At this time in your life; how you respond is imperative to your destiny in the Lord.

I recommend you take steps to make your disappointment and pain work in your favor. These emotions have energy behind them; so direct them into something positive in your life. Over fifty times in the Bible people are told to “get up!” So do something, anything, clean the house, mow the lawn, gather friends together to pray, go help someone else, and the possibilities are endless. Start with the easy tasks and work your way to those that are harder.

Get up! If you spiral down, you only compound your loss. If you move amidst and through your situation, you can turn your disappointment and pain inside out. It’s the first step in the right direction. I don’t have a problem with you getting knocked down; I have a problem with you staying down, so get up! Time to mobilize sisters and brothers and the time is now!

In times of disappointments, and lost jobs, one can depend on his sister called wisdom. Wisdom will give you skillfull undersatanding on how to approach your current situation. There are opportunties that results from disappointments, and failures. In addtion, having complete faith, and trust in God (Yahweh) will give you the victory that is needed in your life.
