Job 2:9 Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die. 10 But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.
It’s so important that we represent God accurately! And one way to do this is by avoiding what I call faulty beliefs of our faith in the Lord. Consider this: Upon the tragedies of life happening, people of God will find assurance, in knowing the Lord is in control of all things! Now does that mean if someone really close to you suddenly dies in a tragic accident that you should feel at ease and at peace? That’s insane!
The idea is that life happens to people whether we are in relationship with God or not. However, when you are in a working relationship with the Lord you, it is that relationship that makes the difference in how we handle the good and tough times in life. How are you doing in handling the tough times in your life?
Point to ponder- Be careful of neglecting the most critical relationship you need for living life in Grace and truth. Read and study God’s word regularly so you can discern statements of an our needed faith in the Lord.
