Word for the day “Jesus is our King”

Psalm 24: (NKJV) 8Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, The Lord mighty in battle.Lift up your heads, O you gates! Lift up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in.

I wonder did you know there is now a modern day version of the Golden Rule? It says that “He who has the gold sets the rules“.  Postmodernism is an interesting concept to understand as related to understanding the Lord! Who sets the rules for you? Your supervisor? The company president? The government? Whoever sets the rules is the one who has great power.

Sometimes we feel like that particular person has too much power, and control over our lives. We long to be that person who has the gold and sets the rules. Just wanted to put things in context this Advent season: On the highest level, God is the one who sets the rules and has the greatest power over us. We make choices in life, but the Lord is the ultimate Authority over us all. Through the prophet Isaiah, God told us to “maintain justice and do what is right, for my salvation is close at hand and my righteousness will soon be revealed. Blessed is the man who keeps his hand from doing any evil.” The Lord message here is clear and concise!

Point to ponder- Sometimes when people around us are flaunting their power, it’s easy to forget who is ultimately in control. I challenge you today to obey God’s authority for your life. Turn your situation over to God. I believe the Lord will work it out for in your life. In this Advent season just wanted to remind you that,  Jesus is our King!

In this month of December 2015, Our Leadership team is especially thankful for those of you who provided financial donations and support by partnering with us in efforts to advance the kingdom of God in this 21st century season. Why don’t you take the opportunity to write us on our blog and let us know how we are doing in serving you Great people, we’d love to hear from you!
